What is Information Systems Audit?

Information Systems Audit is an examination of the management controls within an Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure of an organization. In banks, IS Audit involves examination of management controls and assessing compliance with Information Systems Security guidelines issued by RBI and NABARD. As per the guidelines of RBI and NABARD, all Indian banks (including co-operative banks) should get IS Audit conducted by duly qualified auditors, at least once in a financial year.

We have conducted 200+ IS Audits of 100+ banks in India. In the process, we have audited 25+ Core Banking Software of various vendors including CBS of TCS and Infosys. We have extensively audited On-Premise deployment model (with Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre) and Cloud Deployment Model (hosted by Application Service Provider – ASP).
